The Jubilee Park in Jamshedpur is one of the best man – made parks I have seen till date. Especially the view of the park after sunset is magical. The park is all lit up with colourful lights and the beautiful greens and flower beds strewn all across the garden make it one of the most exotic sites to visit. Now there was not much time left for me in the state of Jharkhand as my vacations were almost coming to an end. I wanted to make sure that I don’t miss out at least the best of the best tourist attractions of the state.
Hence the next destination that I chose to visit in Jharkhand was the Jawaharlal Nehru biological park. Established in the year 1989 the park has been inviting nature lovers and wild life researchers from all parts of the globe since the past 26 years. This zoological park houses a variety of flora and fauna. It is a hit among children as well as adults due to its wide collection of birds and mammals species.
One of the most distinct features of this botanical garden is its huge collection of big cats that it has nurtured as a result of a very successful in – house breeding project. The royal Bengal tigers, the snowy white tigers and the mighty Asiatic lions are some of the proud possessions of the park. Kids have a gala time here as the park organizes ample of activities to keep them engrossed as well as make them aware of the importance of the biological diversity in a healthy functioning of the environment in a very playful manner.
The kid’s corner made in the Jawaharlal Nehru park houses majestic bears. Boating facilities are also available in an artificial lake made in the vicinity of this site. There is also a small dam in the campus. The Mowgli Express is the toy train that offers fun rides and trips to children all across the park. Besides the variety of birds and animals the biological Park also houses an aquarium that showcases a variety of aquatic species.
