After visiting the Saraikela Palace located in Ranchi the next destination that I visited in the state of Jharkhand was the Jubilee Park located at the district of Jamshedpur. The Saraikela palace is an ancient architectural delight of the city as it dates back to about 300 years in time. The architectural style in which this exotic monument is built shows the excellence and creativity of the craftsmen who contributed in the construction of this majestic structure in the past.
Hereafter it was time for me to visit another man made tourist attraction that serves as a landmark for Jamshedpur. It was the endeavour and imagination of the great man Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata that lead to development of the small village to a grand and fully progressive township that is recognized as one of the most developed regions in Jharkhand today.
It was this renowned person who stands at the background of the town of Jamshedpur who left no stone unturned in nurturing the township to give it its present shape. Jamshedji Tata gifted Jamshedpur located in the state of Jharkhand with a beautiful park named as the Jubilee Park.
The Jubilee Park is one of the most visited tourist attractions of the city and it will not be an exaggeration to say that this is an anthropogenic wonder that lies at the heart of Jamshedpur. Known as the ‘Mughal garden of Jamshedpur’ the Jubilee Park was offered by the Tata Group as a gift to the city on the occasion of completion of 50 years of its establishment. Jamshedpur was established in the year 1958. It is called the Mughal Garden due to its beauty and splendour that gives a royal look to the entire vicinity.
Spread across an area of 225 acres of land this park is one of the major places of tourism significance in the city. Picnickers and tourists from all parts of the world come to visit this delightful place in huge volumes every year. The lush green vegetation and the charismatic flower beds adorn the Jubilee Park. The view of the park at night is awe – inspiring as the entire area is lit up like heaven.
